The Victors – “Please Forget About Me” b/w “Hold On, I’m Comin’” (Sage 101). Great summer of 1967 garage / northern soul release from the small town of Kennett, Missouri by this group led by Mark Carroll and composed of Mark Carroll, Ronnie Harper, Brian Zimmernman, Lee Hicklin, Mike Day, and Bruce Boyd. “Please Forget About Me” is a garage sound with solid R&B influence while the flip is a re-make of the Sam & Dave classic. Good blue-eyed soul. And, just to add a little extra, it includes the promo sheet from the release and a business card from the band. Probably not many of those around. Take a listen to a little of each side. Record is in M- condition.
