(Hear) 1968 Judy & the P.T.S. Garage Folk Psych 45 (Blue b/w You Need Love)


 

 

 
Judy and the P.T.S. – “Blue” b/w “You Need Love” (Outstanding 0002). Good female lead garage soft psych sound on this Huntington Beach, California-based label. Both sides feature keyboard-dominated soft folk pop sound, with a bit of a jazzy garage vibe. Judy was a vocal student of Annette Warren Smith, the wife of jazz pianist Paul Smith, who accompanied Judy on the single, hence the P.T.S. stands for Paul T. Smith. According to the lable founder only a couple hundred copies made. “Blue” is the “A” side, but the flip is very interesting too - take a listen to a little of each side. Record is in strong VG+ condition. Postage will be paid by purchaser
