Hear 1983 Zeus Obscure West Michigan Private Press Rock EP Eve of a New Dawn + 2

 

 

 
Zeus – “Treat ‘Em Right”, “In Love Alone”, “The Eve of a New Dawn” (Zeus 311043). Obscure 1983 Hard Rock EP by this West Michigan group composed of Marcus Mean (drums, vocal), Vito Mule’ (lead guitar, vocals, keyboards), Bill Mulham (keyboards, lead vocals, guitar), and Tim Shaw (bass, keyboards.) Videos were made for a couple of the songs and are available on YouTube. However, the video for “Eye of a New Dawn” was shortened for submission to MTV AND other music channels. The version on the EP features an instrumental section in the middle which with a great guitar solo. As the website “Forgotten Seal says, “This 7” is one of the rarest AOR / Pomp releases of the 80s and almost never turns up. Despite its rarity it has created a huge status among the collectors over the years and the main reason is the 6-minute masterpiece “The Eve of a New Dawn” – one of the best AOR / Pomp compositions of all times.” Take a listen to a couple cuts. Record is in strong VG to VG+ and cover is in VG+ condition.
