Description
DGG 16017 by Johanna Martzy violin and Jean Antonietti Piano. See pictures and above condition section for exact description. This cover has the inner polybag liner permanently stitched into the gatefold pocket. Unusual. There is also a little fold over page in four different languages titled "Hints on playing your 45 and 33rpm plastic records". Please listen to unfiltered portions of both sides of this record offered for sale, recorded at 2 grams tonearm weight. Portions of side 1 play until the 4: 55 mark, then portions of side 2 for the next 5 minutes. As you will hear, this record plays with moderate background static through some parts, and brilliantly clear throughout other parts. The virtuosity of the violinist, and superb piano work, provide the listener with such compelling music, any background static is soon forgotten. Cover grade is G. Disc grade is VG+.
