From Wikipedia: The Kinzua Dam, on the Allegheny River in Warren County, Pennsylvania, is one of the largest dams in the United States east of the Mississippi River. Authorized by Congress under the Flood Control Acts of 1936 and 1938 during the Great Depression, construction on the dam was not begun by the US Army Corps of Engineers until 1960; it was completed in 1965. By that time considerable opposition to the dam had developed, particularly among the Seneca Nation of Indians based in New York. Due to proposed flooding of lands behind the dam to create a lake for recreation and hydro-power, they would lose numerous communities and thousands of acres of fertile farmland. More than 600 families were displaced by the project and forced to relocate.
Vinyl Condition: Side-A: VG Has many light scuffs and scratches which lead to a scratchy / static sound. Side-B: VG Same as A side. There are no deep scratches. It does not skip, (vertical tracking force is 2.00 grams).
Labels: A-side is rubbed and the silver ink is light, no writing. There is a long scratch on the upper left and some small white spots. B-side is a bit better than A, but also has 2 black spots. Please see the photos.
Warp: None, the needle is pretty steady. Please see the video.
I have played tested it to create the samples on a Audio-Technica turntable (AT-LP 120-USB). There is static and noise along with pops and clicks on both sides.
