Description

Up for auction is an original first press copy of Helen Merrill’s self titled 1955 mono LP on Emarcy cat no 36006. This is a true first press, as indicated by the deep groove, blue print on the back cover and YMG matrix number.


G+/G+


Vinyl has some wear/light scratching and plays with a consistent background crackle. No major repeating ticks or skips. I am confident that this record could be brought back to life easily with professional cleaning equipment. Unfortunately there is damage to the A side label, please see photos.


Cover is beautiful, but the bottom seam is split to about the half way point. General wear and foxing. some laminate has started to peel on the cover. Again, please take a close look at the photos to see the condition.


This is a nice copy of an exceptionally rare record.
