Description
Original gatefold. Jazz In Italy #8. Merrill sings 3 standards with All Star Italian musicians. Gianni Basso, tenor sax; Dino Piana, trombone; Renato Sellani, piano; Georgio Azzolini, bass; Franco Tonani, drums. This is more of a ballad collection with very sensitive arrangements. Merrill is at her prime. Extremely rare. Store sticker on the label. Cover: F. This is a gatefold but very damaged. The gatefold opens. There are tears, paper loss and about 1.2 of the text is not readable. There was apparently water damage. All text is in Italian. The cover is in delicate and poor condition. Record: VG+ to mint(-). Visually shows no wear. There is some groove noise, though very light. The noise is slight and not continuous. The sound is more like a light, “static” sound. There are a few more obvious clicks but these are rare and very infrequent. Difficult to grade. I purchase this in Bologna, Italy years ago. Audibly checked.
