EmArcy - EXPR 1018 (MG 36134) - mono

Here is LP by the classic jazz vocalist, Helen Merrill, from 1958, "The Nearness Of You". It's on the EMArcy label, manufactured by Nippon Japan, marketed by London Records, distributed by Polygram in New York, 1958, as the back cover states. So technically, I would consider this sort of an import where it was made in Japan. This is also a mono LP. I have scanned the front, back and record label for you. The jacket has no splits or tears. It shows some minor ring wear on the front cover and slight wear on the edges. There is a blue label on the upper right corner, which I will leave up to the buyer if they want to remove or not. The back cover has a tiny "X" written next to the song "Bye, Bye Blackbird", but other than that has held up extremely well. The label is tan and brown Mercury "The EmARcy Jazz Series" as you can see in the scan. The top states "Manufactured By Nippon Phonogram Co. LTD Tokyo". The record has maintained it's luster, being in excellent condition. I had to hold it up to a bright light to see a few sort of paper sleeve or light marks. It gave a great play on my Marantz turntable. Overall, a great record for all you lovers of classic jazz.
