Helix 2 LP bundle
Helix: Breaking Loose, Canadian Album
H&S: Cat No: 101 (WRC1-1056).
Original Canadian pressing, scarce this side of the pond.
When originally bought (pre loved) played a couple of times, disc was then filed away on a shelf…only to now surface.
Outer sleeve in very good + condition, sharp corners no splits.
Deletion (?) punch hole in top right hand corner., very minor scuffing along top and bottom edges, slightly more noticable on corners. Minor pinching to spine.
Front right hand corner adjacenet to the X some adhesive residue form previously removed price label, which has resulted in small amount of print loss and removal of top UV finish– see photo
Disc appears in excellent, unmarked condition with deep gloss lustre with no obvious flaws. No spindle wear.
Please see the photos.
Helix: Walkin’ the Razor’s Edge. US issue
Capitol: Cat No: ST-12362.
When originally bought (pre loved I recall) played a few of times, disc was then filed away on a shelf…only to now surface.
Outer sleeve in good overall condition, sharp corners no splits. Very slight beginnings of disc indentation, with the very slightest top and bottom on the front. Horizontal row of small minor indentations on rear of sleeve, deepest in black top left hand corner of Brian Vollmers pic
Fading of the spine due to sun exposure, although title remains legible.
Disc appears in overall very good condition, with deep gloss lustre. The only obvious flaw appears to be a scuff mark/light scratch across tracks 2 & 3 on side 1. Doesn’t feel deep to finger nail touch. No spindle wear.
Issues with sleeve and disc reflected in starting bid.
Please see the photos.
Selling on behalf of my Dad (who supplied all the info) from his personal collection, from the olden days when he collected vinyl.
I aim to use recycled packaging when possible, but rest assure that your vinyl will be well packed and protected against the trials of postal travel!
Important perspective info, please read….thanks ?.
A few words about the vinyl grading.
I try to be as honest as possible, but all grades are based upon an experienced but ultimately subjective visual inspection, trying to identify and highlight obvious issues.
Back in the day whilst my Dad purchased much of the vinyl new, as he expanded his collection, (eventually running into a few thousand discs) hence many only played once, inevitably he was drawn to second hand (pre-loved) copies of certain discs, including the rarer original 1970’s issue boots.
As you will appreciate, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this or looking at the listing, the nature of many of these live/unofficial recordings meant that original production standards were not necessarily a top priority, with occasional mastering/pressing faults occurring.
Similarly with any second hand vinyl which in some cases is almost 50 years old they will potentially exhibit aural signs of having been played, sometimes a fair bit..these are not mint, new unplayed discs (unless stated).
The attraction for my Dad was either obtaining the different variations of an issue or otherwise unavailable rare recordings…its called collecting!
When playing vinyl my Dad had a Technics SL1800 turntable with Ortfon cartridge, so no thrashing and grinding on an old fidelity UA4! (early 70’s starter bedroom lo-fi, crank it up ?).
