Description - This is one of those vary rare and obscure records where members of a band that went on to far greater things participated as session musicians when they needed the money. The band in question is Deep Purple. This is probably the most sought after record on the Marble Arch label. The sleeve is in very good condition. It was printed by Garrod and Lofthouse and is laminated only on the front. All of the laminate is still in place. Very little has lifted. There is very little edge wear, no ring wear and no vinyl cuts. It has a little storage wear. Some prat has written 21 in biro in the top right corner. There are no other marks, tears or writing. The spine is solid and unbroken with no wear. All of the text is visible and can be read. The vinyl is exceptionally clean and shiny. There are no scratches or surface marks. Both sides look unplayed and in mint condition. They play with a clear big warm sound and no intrusive background noise. The paper centre labels are yellow with black text and Marble Arch logo. There is very little visible spindle marking on either side around the centre hole. This copy looks to have only been played 2 or 3 times. The matrix numbers are MALS 1169A-1 and MALS 1169A-1. It is a great first pressing. All round a decent sleeve and superb vinyl. A great collectors item especially with the Deep Purple connection.
