Very nice, but not mint. Vinyl has light scratches and nothing heavier, both sides. The vinyl plays very well, though. Some surface noise. Your stylus won’t sound as though it’s in pain. Once the music starts, it’s a pretty quiet play, both sides. Trail-off has the machine-stamped asterisk from the West Coast Capitol plant, which was the only Capitol plant to press original promos.
Labels are nice and shiny. Minimal wear.
The mono single version of “I Am The Walrus” differs in two ways from the stereo. Firstly, after the first two “I’m crying” lines, the drums are mixed out for four beats each. The stereo version has the first “I’m crying” making a drum re-entry with three snare beats. The second “I’m crying” has the drums consistently playing through. Secondly, before the line, “Yellow matter custard,” there is an insertion of four extra beats of music on the mono single only. Not only was this insertion edited out of the stereo mix, but it was also edited out of the mono version of the “Magical Mystery Tour” LP as well. Both differences of this rare version are included on this promo.
