Description
This album is not in mint condition so would not suit a collecter - but someone who enjoys The Beatles music.
This classic album features the song that has been recorded by over 2,000 artists - 'Yesterday'. Plus 'Ticket to Ride' and, of course, 'Help'.
I looked at the website 'thebeatles-collection' and this appears to match their description of a first pressing (Variation A) for this record.
- 'The Gramophone Co Ltd' is the text that runs round the edge of the record label, at the bottom.
- 'Sold in UK etc...' is midday in the centre of the label.
- Font. Says it should be Capitol. No idea if it is or not but everything else seems to match.
- Matrix numbers are XEX 549-2 and XEX 550-2.
- There is a space between 'I Need You' and the credit indicator asterisk *.
- THE EMITEX INNER SLEEVE IS NOT INCLUDED. There is a different inner sleeve.
The vinyl is not mint as there are scratches and marks on it BUT THEY DO NOT AFFECT PLAY. None of the records hop, skip or jump. The low starting bid reflects condition.
I have 9 Beatles vinyl LPs to list and before I add each one I'm playing them to check if any records jump. Whilst none do, there is slight warping to some of them. This one is about 2mms only, but does not affect the sound of the music, there is no dragging etc.
The outer sleeve is slightly creased and scuffed at the edges and has a record shop's sticker on the front.
I am selling other Beatles vinyl LPs and will combine postage for multiple purchases.
Thanks for looking.
