Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH II -- On The Evening Of Her Coronation - 2nd June 1953
Surface / Play-graded: Conservative E (a surface grade alone = E+ Upon playing, there is some light hissing, though I suspect it has more to do with the broadcast recording itself than the record, which appears flawless). Label are bright, a pasted stamp on Side 1 says the following: Made in England for Radio Corporation of America (RCA). I took photos with both flash (which is unforgiving and displays all flaws) and w/o.

Packing / Shipping:Shellac records are as delicate as glass. As such, the 10" record will be mailed with extreme care taken. The record is first placed in a white generic sleeve; it is then placed between two cardboard stiffeners, cut to size, which are taped on either side. The sandwiched record is then bubble wrapped, and placed in a 12" x 12" x 6" box, surrounded by crumpled newspaper to ensure it arrives in one piece.

VJM Grading System:
Shellac 78 rpm records are surface / play-graded graded using the VJM system w / 3.0 mil Audio-Technica stylus & cartridge especially made for playing 78's
E+ Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets.
E Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.
E- Still shiny but without the luster of a new record, few light scratches.
V+ An average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced.
V Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.
V- Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy graying in loud passages. Music remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level.
G+ Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches.
