Description

New York USA pressing of BLP-4195. VanGelder in dead wax, no ear. Cover in VG-/G+ condition due to complete upper and lower seam splits. The spine, however, is intact. Probably would benefit from taping, but I'll leave that up to the buyer. There is also a 1.5" tear on the front art near the top left corner. Otherwise, there is only moderate ringwear and discoloration. Art looks great, and rear liner notes very legible. Includes original "27 Years" inner sleeve also split at seams. Vinyl has numerous light scuffs and hairlines. Visually, a solid/strong VG. I would say the play quality is certainly VG+ with superior fidelity and strong, loud music that overpowers the minimal surface noise. The labels are quite clean with very light spindle marks visible in reflected light. What a beautiful recording! I enjoyed listening to every second of this one on my Pro-Ject TT with Ortofon 2M cart. There were light pops and tics during quiet moments, but I was extremely impressed with the sound quality.
