Herbie Mann ' Yardbird suite ' SAVOY MG 12152 (USA) mono red label with deep groove - rec. in May, 14 1957 - original 1957 issue - on trail-off (dead wax) has stamped 'RVG' for Rudy Van Gelder Herbie Mann : tenor sax, flute - Phil Woods : alto sax - Eddie Costa : vibes - Joe Puma : guitar - Wendell Marshall : bass - Bobby Donaldson : drumsSide A : Yardbird suite (Parker) - Here's that man (E.Costa) - One for Tubby (Joe Puma) Side B : Squire's parlor (P.Woods) - Who knew (Joe Puma) - Opicana (Joe Puma) Visual grading : record is EX to EX+ full lustre has very light wear. Clean labels with minimal spindle wear. On side A has a light stamp 'Sample copy - Not for sale' Playing grading : record is EX to EX+ plays very well with loud and clear sound. Has few light occasional ticks Cover grading : cover is VG+ has light wear. Front cover is clean. Back cover has light rubbing and has four stamps 'Sample copy - Not for sale'. Also has a light trace of sticker's removal on top left corner
