Description
Herbie Nichols The Bethlehem Years, i.e the very sought after Love Gloom, Cash, Love. His 1957 Bop Piano Trio lp of his own tunes and one standard. He died just before I was born, and when you hear his playing you realise how absurd a loss that was. This is invention on a par with Monk, with the pearls in his fingers to carry that. With perfectly suitable accompaniment from bassist George Duvivier and bassist Danny Richmond. Bought new by me in 1977, looked after like all my records. This has a new antistatic inner added and all resides, separated to prevent splits, in a heavy gauge new poly outer awaiting our careful packing in custom made hard card boxes.
