Description
Original deep-groove, flat-rim "ear" pressing of Herbie Nichols "Trio" on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1519. The playing surface is bright and clean with a high luster; perhaps played once or twice, though there are two inaudible marks: ¼" at the beginning of Side 1 and what appears to be a lighter, superficial mark on Side 2. Otherwise, the record looks and plays as new. The non-laminated "kakabuchi" cover has the Lexington Avenue address; rubbing at the corners and along the bottom seam; some normal fading of the back slick; 2 ¼" clean and tight break at the top of the spine. Personnel includes Al McKibbon, Teddy Kotick and Max Roach.
