Description
If the blues had a baby and they named it rock n roll, then Fats Domino is the father. Fats is rock and roll royalty, Mount Rushmore-worthy, the underappreciated bridge from rhythm and blues in the 1950s.
This is a hard to find 1957 original mono pressing of " Here Stands " on the maroon Imperial label. LP-9038.
Cover displays great with bright red background and jazzy black and white piano design theme. and of course, Fats standing stiffly in that killer suit and wing tips!
This album came out on the heels of the 1956 hit "Blueberry Hill" and included the jumping crossover hit "I'm Walkin' which peaked at #4 on the pop charts.
