Description
Here’s an original first pressing of “Here’s Little Richard”, his first LP. This album was in print for years and was reissued time and time again. This is the very first pressing from 1957 on the Specialty label, number SP100. Not too many of these around! Many of these original pressings were made of styrene, a cheap substitue for vinyl that wore out quickly… the industry stopped using it for LPs in the early 1960s after receiving complaints. This particular one is made of real heavyweight vinyl, so it has held up better over the years. The record grades G+, typical of how this album shows up, lots of scuffs and scratches. However, it played all the way through on my record player without skipping- plays better than it looks! The cover has nice graphics on the front, someone evidently wrote their name on the front cover with a pen that had no ink in it, so just an impression remains. It’s visible if you hold the cover at a certain angle in the light. The cover has partial seam splitting on top and bottom, and a remant of some old tape on the back. Very hard to find LP in any condition! Drop me a message if ebay doesn’t calculate shipping for you. Happy bidding!!
