Description

Dory Jones is best remembered for the songs written for Elvis Presley.  Rose Marie McCoy also had songs recorded by the King, including Trying to Get to You, but had an extraordinary career as a songwriter that saw her songs recorded by Ike & Tina, Maxine Brown, Nat King Cole, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Big Maybelle, and many more.  She also made records as an artist.  Here we have a song they wrote together called Hey Hey Hey (The Sun is Shining) that doesn't seem to have been commercially released.  The 10" 45 rpm acetate is in nice VG+ shape with some storage marks, and comes with original lead sheet.  I strongly suspect it's McCoy on vocals on this demo recording.
