Description
The Miracles, Motown's first group, released this album on Motown's Tamla subsidiary label in the summer of 1961.
I play all the vinyl I sell to be able to grade and describe them accurately
Condition: Ok, this is an old and very rare record, so it's not going to be pristine. But this is still a rare item that needs to be preserved.
Outer cover:
The colour is still bright however there is wear and creasing all around the outside with some slight staining to the top left back (top right front). The only tears seem to be only on the foldover sections to the rear. The numbers 441 are hand written top left (rear) .
The sides are all intact and not split. General small marks and stains are present generally front and back see pictures for details of the above.
Inner sleeve:
The inner sleeve is in great condition for its age with some slight creasing but no tears. There is slight darkening around the sides. This appears to be the original inner sleeve as far as I'm aware.
The vinyl:
The LP plays without jumping. However, there are marks and light scratching all over both sides. When played there is backgound noise evident at all times, this varies in noticeable volume throughout both sides. This seems to be general dirt / dust as opposed to deep scratches, although scratches are present so be aware of this. This would really benefit from a professional clean as it deserves to be restored.
Ive graded the vinyl as GOOD and the sleeve as FAIR (in reality, the sleeve lays between fair and good), which I have done using the Discogs grading system (see below).
I've tried to take good, honest pictures of the condition of the album so please have a good look before you bid.
GOOD:
A record in Good or condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.
FAIR:
The picture sleeve may be water damaged and heavily marred by wear...
