High Hopes-Ability Band and Vocal Records BVRS-1200 early 70's
This is Real People Outsider Weirdness for the masses. This is an album done by the Hope School for the Trainable Mentally Retarded. The students have a seven piece band with a dancer and do covers of four Creedence songs and Wipe Out that can't be adequately described in words. If the Shaggs covered these songs without any musical talent, they would still sound better. It's the bomb and I love their sincerity everytime I hear it. There are four other Hi Hopes LP's that I know of, but this is the best. Wipe Out was released as a 45.
