The classic first recordings of High On Fire remastered and restored! Contains the bands very first demo + the legendary debut album: "the Art of Self Defense". and the 2 songs from the AOSD bonus 7". All 11 triumphant tracks sonically enhanced by Brad Boatright (mastering engineer of Sleeps' Dopesmoker). This entire project was given the full blessing by the band. Our intent was to forge the ultimate testament to this monumental album. An essential documentation of one of the best bands of our time. Every single aspect of this release was given the obsessive Southern Lord attention to detail.

• Pelican-Ataraxia LP CLEAR VINYL Deluxe vinyl version with THICK Stoughton jacket. Killer vinyl version of the new Pelican recordings. The way it was meant to be heard! Southern Lord is proud to unleash the long new EP from thunderous post-instrumental outfit PELICAN. Ataraxia/Taraxis is the long awaited follow-up to their sprawling 2009 full length What We All Come To Need. With members now residing in separate cities, the EP represents a new chapter in the band’s evolution with a reenergized focus on composition and the utilization of the recording studio as a creative tool in the songwriting process, yielding one of the most diverse efforts in the band’s prolific discography. The four new songs highlight the manifold sonic strengths of the band by delving into moments of triumphant melodic rock, smokey doom, ambient soundscape, acoustic desert-folk, and minimalist electronics. In contrast to the EP’s origin as the product of four different recording studios, including stints with engineers Sanford Parker (Twilight, Yob, Nachtmystium) and Aaron Harris (ISIS), the carefully crafted track listing boasts a cohesive narrative flow, lending the release an epic feel worthy of a full album.

ØØ Void was the second album recorded by sunn O))) circa 2000. At that time, the guitarist & core members: Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson were joined by guest bassist collaborator Stuart Dahlquist (Burning Witch, Goatsnake). ØØ Void also features some incredible contributions from both Petra Haden (Violinist/Vocalist) and Pete Stahl (vocals). Their melodic evocations are seamlessly woven within this thick sonic tapestry. The group approached the compositions of this album in a different way than their previous recordings: each member focused intently on one composition/piece and brought it into the recording session. Then, each of those songs that were brought in were translated to the other members and nuances were worked out ,on the spot, in the studio.

• Noothgrush-Live For Nothing-BLACK VINYL 180 gram DOUBLE VINYL deluxe version with Stoughton gatefold jacket The now legendary Noothgrush from the Bay area was berthed in the spring of 1994 by founding members Gary Niederhoff on Bass and Chiyo Nukaga on drums. Over the next year the band had various other members including Matt Harvey (Exhumed, Repulsion) on 2nd guitar. It wasn’t until guitarist Russ Kent joined in early 1995 that the classic Noothgrush lineup was complete! Noothgrush played 145 shows, toured the U.S. and Quebec for 7 weeks, did numerous west coast, and southwest tours. The band was well known for their consistently bludgeoning assault played at slow as boiling tar tempos. Noothgrush ceased to exist in 2001, as the band sought to develop new material and not be forced to perform the old repertoire. Unfortunately, involvement with other bands, jobs, etc. kept Noothgrush from developing. "Live For Nothing" is a compilation of two live on the radio broadcasts the band did in the 90s. One is from KZSU from 1996 and the other from KFJC in 1999. Both recordings are a precise document of the powerful group in their prime. The recordings were mastered by Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise guitarist) and breathe black fumes of toxins once again!
