Description

This is a stereo pressing of the US Capitol release of Hilton's first and only LP. Made in 1969 featuring 12 songs written by Hilton before and after the original Animals split up in 1966. See photos for track listing .The title track It's All In Your Head had previously been written, produced and released by Hilton as a UK single by Natasha Pyne in 1966. Although not on this album Hilton had produced the single Hey Gyp (Dig The Slowness) for fellow Tynesider Keith Shields in 1967. Written by Donovan, Hey Gyp was often performed by Eric Burdon and the Animals in 1967 concerts including Monterey and The Festival Of The Flower Children at Woburn Abbey. Donovan was a strong influence on Hilton's songwriting and two this album contains several whimsical, self-reflective, folky numbers with a very light touch of psyche - very 1960s.  Recorded with session musicians, light orchestration and produced and arranged by Vic Briggs (these days known as Antion).  I'm a lifelong collector of The Animals and I'm selling my over-stocks so will be listing more items on eBay shortly.
