Kikuchi Himiko's masterpiece "FLYING BEAGLE," originally released in 1987, has been reissued on 180g heavyweight vinyl.
Japan's leading female keyboardist, Kikuchi Himiko, has performed with renowned artists including Yoshida Takuro and Ohashi Junko. She was also a member of prestigious groups such as Hara Nobuo's Sharps & Flats and Minoya Central Station. Since 1980, she has continuously released albums under her own name, including overseas recordings, and is recognized as a legend in the crossover/fusion scene.
This masterpiece fusion album features an incredible lineup of top musicians: Himiko Kikuchi (p, key, synth, org), Masashi Matsumoto (g), Akira Okazawa (b), Naoki Watanabe (b), Kazuo Okamoto (ds), Yasushi Ichihara (ds), Yuichi Tokashiki (ds), Keiichi Ishibashi (b), Yoshikazu Kishi (tp), Kenji Yoshida (tp, flh), Michio Kagiwada (tb), JAKE H. CONCEPCION (as, fl), Hirofumi Kinjo (ts, fl), Masamoto Takano (bs), Yoshinori Nomi (perc), and others from Spectrum, AB’S, Yuji Ohno’s You & The Explosion Band, and Toshigo Miki’s Inner Galaxy Orchestra.
