Description

This lot comprises ‘Hold On I’m Coming!', the now very rare first album by British Blues artist and guitarist the late Gerry Lockran. It was issued in 1965 under the Planet records label (Cat. No. PLL 1002). The sleeve shows some wear around the opening edge and foxing on the laminate fold-over edges to rear (see images). The disc itself is in excellent condition, clean, unmarked, and rarely played since it was copied onto tape from new and carefully stored. Artists: Gerry Lockran (vocals and acoustic guitar — Lockran fans will know that Gerry’s Martin D28 had a wonderful tone!); Johnny Birch (Jazz/Blues pianist); Danny Thompson (Bass); Ray Warleigh (Flute); and Terry Cox (Drums).
