Description
Released by Sympathy for the Record Industry. The record and sleeve grading are both mint...like I just went to the record store and bought it new in 1990. Photos 3 & 4 show it back in the plastic sleeve it has been stored in since purchased.
This 7" single, Retard Girl is the debut release from alternative rock band Hole and it was released in April of 1990 . Written by vocalist and guitarist Courtney Love and produced by Love's husband at the time James Moreland.
The 'B' side has Phone Bill Song, and Johnnie's in the Bathroom.
Several different versions of the front cover were produced in differing color schemes, which features a picture of a young woman hanging upside down from a tree limb. The woman in the photograph is Kat Bjelland of the band Babes in Toyland, a friend and bandmate of Courtney Love, and the photo was taken in guitarist Eric Erlandson's backyard.
