1966 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING LP
This extremely hard to find 1966 1st STEREO pressing is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 7008
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.
Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 603-1 & YEX 604-1
Stamper codes: 1/O & 1/G

Labels: EXCELLENT +
A top-class pair with virtually no signs of wear.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean, bright & deep-gloss surfaces undulled and unworn by overplay or poor handling. Close inspection in strong daylight shows up a few harmless inner-sleeve removal marks but no scuffs, marks or scratches whatsoever. Even careful examination under halogen light reveals little more than a sparkling rainbow gloss shine, but no additional wear whatsoever.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This great sounding copy appears to have received only a handful of careful plays and is without any evidence of any groove/play wear, ticks, clicks or any other such audible distractions or wear.
Cover
VERY GOOD
A clean and strong example with general/light handling & storagewear. There are some light handling creases to the front panel and but the rear panel is free from any significant marks or any writing or missing paper. Downgraded from VG+ due to a 4cm lower seam split, however the upper one & all flipbacks and the spine are undamaged.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD +
Minor storagewear, but no major faults.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on a $5,000 Rega P9 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
