Horace Silver 6 Pieces Of Silver BLUE NOTE BLP 1539
Superb copy of a very nice performance
1st original 1957 mono US pressing
Original Blue Note mono pressing, deep groove, BLP 1539, 767 Lexington Avenue address on both labels. The disc has a flat edge and deep groove. The ear mark and RVG is etched in the dead wax on both sides.
The vinyl is in super clean NM to EX condition, great sounding! Just a few superficial marks from handling not affecting sound in any way.
The very nice FRAME cover has very light wear on the corners, and very, very light edge wear. No text on spine. Definitely EX.
Plays perfect with NO tics, NO clicks, NO skips, NO surface or background noise. And boy - is it a good recording? Super performances from everyone, including Mr Van Gelder.
Top lineup with featuring Horace Silver, Donald Byrd, Hank Mobley, Doug Watkins and Louis Hayes.

All records visually graded. When in doubt, Play-graded on on a modified/restored Lenco L78 with Denon DL-103 (Very sensitive to clicks due to its round diamond). Sound will improve when played with a proper mono cartridge, I recommend Ortofon A or C.
