Description

Horace Silver Quintet & Trio "Blowin' the Blues Away" 1959 Blue Note BLP 4017 mono microgroove.  This is a great copy of a sought after record (the RVG and "Ear" in the runout), with just killer bop content.  Sleeve is perfect and shiny on the front and sides, with some discoloration on the back near the top and right edges (see photos).  Vinyl is visually perfect on cursory inspection, but at an angle under strong light you can see multiple super light scratches--never see something quite like it, so shallow that they're hard to see.  Here's the thing.  They are not affecting playback AT ALL, at least on my gear, which I think is pretty good equipment.  Made a hi-res recording and there wasn't a single spike for a pop.  It's super quiet and present on playback, Excellent to my judgment, and I rate it overall an EX- because of the visual issue.  This a great price for a copy in this condition.  Just cleaned with a VPI wet-vac system.  I'll pay the shipping via USPS Media Mail.
