Description
This is an auction for the VERY RARE Horace Silver Quintet plus J.J. Johnson - The Cape Verdean Blues - BLUE NOTE 4220 mono with New York USA labels. Engineered by Rudy Van Gelder - with "VAN GELDER" stamped and an 'ear' etched in the trailoff deadwax of both sides. The bottom of the back cover has a 43 West 61st St. New York 23 address.
Record is visually graded as Mint- with Rudy Van Gelder at his best recording of excellent performances from the musicians. Cover is VG++ only due to a faint ring wear, a small name written on back and slight edge wear at bottom. One of several hard to find 60s & 70s Jazz pressings I'll be listing on Ebay this week.
