Description
This is Blue Note Records BST 84250, Horace Silver The Jody Grind, a blue and white, New York USA label, original stereo issue of this great record with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. This is the last New York label number in the catalog. The record is in VG+(+) condition, (a strong VG+) showing some light marks on both sides and playing quietly with only occasional light background noise (hence the (+). This is an excellent listening experience with no distortion or skips and the occasional background noise, well beneath the music. The gate-fold cover shows some wear on the edges and some ring wear but is intact. The labels show some loss due to errant cleaning liquid and have light spindle marks. The record was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 and cleaned on a VPI 17. This is still an excellent collector's grade copy of this original New York Blue Note. This is part of my personal collection that I will be selling (slowly) over the next few months and years. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple wins.
