Horace Silver on Blue Note 4042

 

This is the original RVG-stamped deep-groove “P”-pressing of Horace Silver “Horace-Scope” on the West 63rd labels of Blue Note BLP 4042.  Other than normal inaudible storage splotching, the playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.  The laminated cover is also in excellent condition – clean and bright throughout; 2” clean break at the center of the bottom seam.  Personnel include Blue Mitchell, Junior Cook, Gene Taylor, and Roy Brooks
