Horace Tapscott / Everett Brown Jr - At The Crossroads LP
Nimbus Records. NS 579. Yellow label. Stereo. USA 1980.
White paper/plastic inner sleeve.
Graded cover/record Ex/NM
Cover is clean and whole but with minor corners bumps.
Lables and vinyl in top condition.
Instrumental jazz duo in the free-form / spriritual jazz vein. Tapscott on piano and Brown on drums.
Tracks: At The Crossroads / Middle Age Madness / Ballad For Window Lee Black / Marcellus III
He recorded several albums in different settings (solo, duo, trio, sextet, orchestra)
on the private lables created to publish his music, Nimbus and Interplay.
He did one LP on Flyin Dutchman and arranged and composed With Sonny Criss on his masterpiece,
Sonny's Dream (Birth of the New Cool) on Prestige, 1968.
Most of his piano play is both inventive and meditative.
