Description

This is named Horns briefly, but it is Horns entirely. No rhythm section or singer, etc. The six horns are trumpet - Manfred Schoof and Kenny Wheeler, trombone - Gunther Christmann and Albert Mangelsdorff, euphonium - Paul Rutherford. All are given composition credit on the single composition "Horns" which is 42 minutes spread on two sides. Everyone soloes and plays rhythm. Recorded live at Academy of Arts in Berlin March 24, 1978, during "Workshop Freie Musik."  A glorious noise. Hard to get.
