Productions came up with the funds and did what was necessary to see 'Hostyle Presents...' put onto the 12" vinyl medium ready for its projected official release in 2004. Most or all of 'Hostyle Presents...' recording and production was done during 03/04 in Cardiff, Wales. The final master CD was created at Hostyles home then in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The master laquer disc was cut in central England, UK (2004).
There were 516 units pressed (may include t.p's). Test press and some unmarked promo copies were mainly given to dj's, magazines, radio and distributors for promo/review use. The record was expected to be officially released but unfortunately it would not be distributed & released properly due to legal reasons that had suddenly arose. Around 107 units in total were originally given out/sold in some way or other over the course of time.
It was recently thought 100 perfect unplayed copies still remain in existence but that numbers dropped to only 55. Thirty two of those 55 are now packaged in a full numbered edition design, those copies are all mint/near mint. The additional 23 remaining are in excellent condition (vinyl numbered only) but did not make full design because of their extremely slight production marks.
Three hundred and forty eight units have been disposed of due to strict QC reasons. There can only ever be approximately 162 'Hostyle Presents...'/R.G.T. 001 12" records in circulation.
