Luis Russell & His Orchestra play "Savoy Shout" on 78rpm Race

Series Electric OKeh 8760.


This great side was recorded in New York City on January 15, 1929.


On the reverse Duke Ellington & His Orchestra, playing as the Harlem

Footwarmers do "Lazy Duke." This side was recorded on November

20, 1929, also in NYC.


This great record is in lovely excellent to excellent-plus (E to E+)

condition on the first side, and excellent-plus (E+) condition on the

second side. There is some light tape residue on the second side's

label. Needless to say, it plays like a dream!
