Blues great Clara Smith is accompanied by a small Jazz

Band (Elmer Chambers cornet, Teddy Nixon trombone, Don

Redman clarinet, Fletcher Henderson piano, and Charlie

Dixon banjo), and she sings "31st Street Blues" and

"Chicago Blues" on a lovely flag label Columbia

14009-D.


The Band gets to play red hot on both sides!


Both of these great sides were done in New York City on

January 31, 1924.


The record is in excellent-plus (E+) condition.
