Hot Time In the Old Town (Tonight)

Here's a nice title on a pre-1900 Berliner. It was recorded on Sept. 22, 1899 and is a lively rendition of this well known tune. The title is typewritten, but the artist has signed his own name "Edward M. Favor." The condition is just about what you would expect from a Berliner - rough start, some groove wear and surface rubs, as in this case there are several scratches around the 2 o'clock position. However, there are no pits, scores, cracks or other problems that would cause a skip or repeat, so the disc plays through quite well. Add a hot title to your Berliner collection!
