Description

Even though the record has plenty of superficial marks it is still an enjoyable listen. Chess put out a series of LPs called "Real Folk Blues" and "More Real Folk Blues" in the '60s to capitalize on the folk music craze of the '50s to mid '60s. This is not "Folk" music. It is down and dirty electric Chicago Blues. Some of these tunes are precursors to Rock & Roll like "Neighbors" and "Rocking Daddy". This is the stuff guys like John, Paul, George, and Ringo; Mick and Keith; and Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page were listening to when they were young lads. The British Invasion sold our own music back to us, but with white boys as the stars.
