Description
Fans of the band Hum rejoice! Now you can own this sweet, limited piece of Hum's history! From Champaign, IL, Hum hit in 1995 with the alternative radio epic "Stars," and the debut RCA album You'd Prefer An Astronaut sold well. This is the follow up. Downward Is Heavenward was released in January 1998 (though it bears a 1997 copyright date) and sold a bit less than its predessesor while gaining the respect of fans and critics alike. In 1998 vinyl was a thing of the past for most musical connoisseurs, making this original 1998 press a treasured collector's item! There was two original vinyl pressings of the album, one with a clear blue vinyl record and this one, the standard black vinyl. Recently reissued due to demand of vinyl in both 2018 and 2019, the original pressings are super hard to find. We have put this super-clean piece of vinyl in a classy Mobile Fidelity anti-static inner sleeve. There is also a 11'' by 17'' folded insert with credits inside the jacket that looks like new. This release is copyright 1997 by both Martians Go Home Music, BMI and BMG Entertainment. See the pictures for condition details. This will be packed and shipped with care using bubblewrap and housed in a hard cardboard box.
