Description
Original UK Immediate pink label stereo 1st press LP.The first Humble Pie LP released in August 1969, after Steve Marriott, having just left the Small Faces, got together with Greg Ridley, Peter Frampton and Jerry Shirley. Marriott had brought together Shirley and Ridley as a possible band for Frampton, then ended up joining the band himself. They chose the name Humble Pie and were signed to Immediate Records. This is the original issue with the lyric inner and earliest 1Y-2 2Y-2 matrices & 1-A 1-T stampers!
The matt sleeve is intact & in VG+ condition, with some light edge/corner wear and some storage rubbing on the cover. The spine is intact and mostly readable, the lyric inner is intact & is in EX condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two small needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of one or two faint spindle markings on each side. The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise, with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief, low background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great loud and lively listen. The matrix nos. are; IMSPO-025, 1Y-2, stamper 1-A, 2Y-2 stamper 1-T. This is one of the very early copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1969 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
