Humble Pie "Thunderbox" USA 33 1/3 rpm Long-playing (LP) phonograph record, A&M Records SP-3611, with die-cut album cover. This is a difficult record to obtain in factory sealed condition. This stereo record album is still sealed in it's original shrink wrap. Humble Pie was a superb rock group, formed in Essex, England, in 1968. Steve Marriott had just left The Small Faces, and Greg Ridley had just left Spooky Tooth. Humble Pie featured Peter Frampton (guitar, vocals), Steve Marriott (guitar, vocals), Greg Ridley (bass, vocals), and Jerry Shirley (drums). Peter Frampton left Humble Pie prior to the release of this album, and was replaced by Clem Clempson. Humble Pie released ten outstanding albums between 1969 and 1975. "Thunderbox" was recorded at Olics Sound, "somewhere east of Guatemala". "Thunderbox" was released in the United States, in 1974. The songs on the record are (Side One) "Thunderbox" (5:16), "Groovin' With Jesus" (2:18), "I Can't Stand The Rain" (4:17), "Anna (Go To Him)" (3:42), "No Way" (2:48), "Rally With All" (2:49), (Side Two) "Don't Worry, Be Happy" (3:54), "Ninety-nine Pounds" (2:47), "Every Single Day" (3:46), "No Money Down" (4:25), "Drift Away" (3:57), and "Oh La-De-Da" (4:32). "Thunderbox" was written by Clem Clempson and Steve Marriott. "Groovin' With Jesus" was written by Benny Swartz and Gene Barge. "I Can't Stand The Rain" was written by Don Bryant, Bernard Miller, and Ann Peoples. "Anna (Go To Him)" was written by Arthur Alexander. "No Way" was written by Steve Marriott and Greg Ridley. "Rally With All" and "Don't Worry, Be Happy" were written by Steve Marriott, Clem Clempson, Greg Ridley, and Jerry Shirley (Humble Pie). "Ninety-nine Pounds" was written by Don Bryant. "Every Single Day" was written by Clem Clempson. "No Money Down" was written by Chuck Berry. "Drift Away" was written by Mentor Williams. "Oh La-De-Da" was written by Phillip Michelle. The record was produced by Humble Pie. Engineered by Steve and John. Arranged by Humble Pie. Sleeve design and photography by Hipgnosis. Illustration by Collin Elgie. The phonograph record is still sealed in it's original shrink wrap, has never been played, and is in mint condition. The record comes in a custom cardboard sleeve, with a full-color photograph of a partially nude female (seated) on one side (this is the view through the die-cut key hole in the album cover), and a full-color photograph of two nude females (by a bath tub) on the other side. The die-cut album cover is in near mint condition. There are no cutout marks of any kind. This is the nicest copy of this record that you could find. The second scan displayed is from an opened copy of the record album.
