Description
This was one of my all time favourite albums. It was first issued in 1967, and I bought it not long after. As such, I have every reason to believe it’s an original pressing: it’s on Reprise (with the green/yellow Mississippi steamboat label), number RLP 6248. Just about every track is a gem of its kind.
I have no experience of grading albums like the pros, so let me describe its condition to you as well as I can. First, let me say that I’ve always looked after my albums very well: always handled by the edges, always put back in the paper sleeve, with the open side enclosed in the cardboard sleeve. Unfortunately, I no longer have a deck to play it on, so in terms of playability, I’ll have to go on visual inspection. From what I can see, both surfaces are pretty much flawless – with just one mark on Side 1, Track 1. There are no spindle marks. The outer sleeve is in surprisingly good nick – not perfect, with some scuffs, a small tear that’s been stuck back down, a red biro mark (top right back) and what looks like the original price sticker top left – 35/3d! The inner sleeve is creased but in good nick.
