Description
1st original Italian pressing on ARC, subsidiary of RCA label, from 1969. Seldom heard and very impressive psychedelic jazz funk LP out of Italy. 2nd volume of near impossible to find LPs. Music led by hammond player and Italian soundtrack arranger, Albert Verrecchia together with French jazz and library session players like funky drummer Andre Ceccarelli, Tony Bonfils on bass and Ivan Jullien on trumpet. This LP includes the the killer club track “Angeli Negri”, a psychedelic jazz theme based on the S.O.U.L. anthem with its bouncing basslines, funky drums and heavy trumpet riffs. Other top themes include the delirious soul jazz and congas of “Amor amor amor”, the funky bossa “Tu che m’hai preso il cuor” and the driving hammond “Parlami d’amore Mariù” with its furious drum break and infectious jazzy horns. Great LP for DJs.
Record is clean and shiny, strong vg++/nm, heavy vinyl pressing, side 1 has one light hairline that causes soft ticks on track # two (a bit louder at the end of that track when the music fades out, but nothing serious, no skip or jump), superb soundquality! Heavy laminated (front) cardboard cover is vg+. natural age discoloration on the back side, minor damage under. Original RCA inner sleeve is in ex condition, minor split left, see all pictures.
