This sale is for the debut album from contemporary Christian and Inspirational Gospel music pioneer and legend Dallas Holm. This album titled, I saw The Light was released on the United Artist label in 1969. This is a very rare and hard to find record album.

The music on this album was more inspirational and for that time contemporary Gospel.It just featured a few songs that hinted towards the Contemporary Christian pop music he would excell at, and be known for in a few more years.There is some bass and drums featured on a few of the tracks,but it’s not rock and not anything close to what Christian rock pioneer Larry Norman was doing at the same time this LP was released. The music on this album is sincere, pleasant and inspirational,but it’s not CCM or even the Jesus music that exploded out of California in the 70s.

This album is a nice snapshot of Dallas Holm in his beginnings,before he became a nationally known and loved CCM Christian artist. And way before he would play any rock and roll.

I am not a professional record dealer and I am not a LP quality expert. I am not going to give this album a grading scale. I judge just by my eyes and ears. The album looks good without many blemishes or scratches that I can see.The record looks visibly clean, any scratches or scuffs etc are not very noticeable. It looks like it’s hardly ever been played. It has been very well taken care of over all these years. I have played it once and it sounded very good, and it had no skips or errors. There was maybe a little record noise, but not a lot of the pops, crackles and hisses that I hear in many of even my newer albums. To me it sounded great. It may sound better or worse when played thru your system and your ears. This album is used and is almost 50 years old. It’s not perfect, and I am not selling it as mint or perfect.It played and sounded better than other old albums I have that are in good shape,so I think the buyer will enjoy it. What I am saying is it played without skipping, and it sounded good.

The cover does show age and wear,but is in pretty good shape for its age. There is a place on the back where Dallas signed it for a fan in green ink. So it is a signed album, but it does also have the fans name as Dallas signed it To “fans name” from Dallas Holm.

This album is a must for any serious fan of Dallas Holm or any classic Jesus music and contemporary Christian album collection. Do not let it pass you by,who knows when you will see it again!!

This was not a million selling album. You do not see it all over the place, like some of his other albums. This was his debut album from 1969 and I doubt many copies sold, so it is very rare and hard to come by. It’s an album that I have only seen once on eBay. I have seen it a few times on some collectors sites selling for way more than I am asking here.
