I HAD TWO OF THESE - THE FIRST ONE SOLD FOR £206 ON E-BAY. I DID OFFER A SECOND CHANCE OFFER TO 2 OTHER BIDDERS BUT NEITHER WERE QUICK ENOUGH SO HERE'S A SECOND CHANCE FOR EVERYONE TO GRAB ONE OF THE RAREST IAN BROWN STONE ROSES PROMOTIONAL ITEMS AVAILABLE! GOOD LUCK.
VERY RARE PROMO ITEM - PEWTER MONKEY STATUE
This is the fabled, yet rarely seen, pewter monkey statue used to promote Ian Brown's debut solo album release UNFINISHED MONKEY BUSINESS from 1998. Only 100 of these were made and were distributed to indie record stores to promote the release. The statue actually features on the rear of the sleeve of the album.
Base is 7cm x 9cm, height approx 12cm. Obviously very heavy - made of metal! So postage is £7.50. Inscription on the base says "IAN BROWN. UNFINISHED MONKEY BUSINESS. These change hands every now and then on E Bay for over £100 (NOW OVER £200!), so get your bids in early to stand a chance of bagging one of the rarest promotional items for Ian Brown/Stone Roses.
Again, this came from Ian Brown's old management companies office so it's the real deal. Mind you, you couldn't fake this without spending more than it's worth!!!
