The Marvel World of Icarus

Pye International NSPL 28161 - 1972 - UK

Original copy of the one and only album by the UK prog group ICARUS, released on the PYE INTERNATIONAL label in 1972 and allegedly withdrawn for problems with Marvel Comics.

COVER - The laminated single cover is in VG+ condition, due to the usual lamination detachment along the left seam. The plastic film is not torn, but has simply detached from the cover cardboard causing some air bubbles. The seams are solid. The titles on the left seam are fully legible.

INNER - Original white paper plastic-lined inner with blue copyright text.

VINYL - Still shiny, shows only some scuffs and very superficial marks; plays with some very light noise especially in the quietest parts. My grading is VG+.
Record playgraded using a Shure V15-Type III stylus at 1.5gr.

LABELS - Original blue/black Pye labels in perfect condition with no tears or writings.

MATRIX NUMBERS - Machine stamped on the vinyl, NSPL 28161 A-1^6 (side 1) and NSPL 28161 B-1^6 (side 2).

This record is valued 150 Pounds on the current (2014) issue of the Record Collector Price Guide.

Copia originale dell'unico album del gruppo prog inglese ICARUS, realizzato dall'etichetta PYE International nel 1972 e presumibilmente presto ritirato su richiesta della Marvel Comics.

COPERTINA - La copertina singola è in condizioni VG+ solo per il distacco sul lato sinistro della pellicola in plastica che la ricopre. La laminatura non è rotta, semplicemente ha creato delle bolle d'aria in alcuni punti lungo il lato sinistro.
I lati sono integri. I titoli sul lato sinistro sono perfettamente leggibili.

BUSTA INTERNA - Busta originale in carta bianca con interno in plastica e dati del copyright in carattere blu.

VINILE - Ancora brillante, ha solo alcuni segni e piccoli graffi superficiali. Suona con leggero rumore di fondo soprattutto nella parti a basso rumore. La mia valutazione è VG+.
Disco suonato con una testina Shure V15-Type III del peso di 1.5 gr.

ETICHETTE - Originali Pye di colore celeste/nero, in condizioni perfette senza strappi né scritte.

NUMERI DI MATRICE - Stampati a macchina sul vinile, NSPL 28161 A-1^6 (lato 1) e NSPL 28161 A-1^6 (lato 2).

La valutazione di questo disco è di 150 Sterline sull'edizione attuale (2014) della Record Collector Price Guide.
