Dieses Set wurde veröffentlicht, um der Live-Performance von Iced Earth am 23. und 24. Januar 1999 in Athen, Griechenland zu gedenken. Enthalten sind fünf Picture-LPs mit insgesamt 31 Songs aus zwei ausverkauften Shows sowie ein großes Poster. „Alive in Athens" wurde in Deutschland in einer begrenzten Auflage von nur rund 2.000 Exemplaren hergestellt.
