'IGGINBOTTOM'S WRENCH - self titled
Little played and truly wonderful condition copy of this 1969 jazz/rock fusion rarity

Gleaming, jet black sheen, and truly excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - difficult to identify any marks at all, even with close inspection under a bright light. The single exception to this is a 4mm very fine and non-feelable hairline in the middle of the final track on side 2 (you will have to look hard to find it), which does result in 6 very, very light and background clicks - you have to listen hard to identify them. If it was not for this minor aberration I would grade the condition of the vinyl as "near mint". Similarly, each label is near perfect with the only blemishes being just a few small and very faint spindle lines adjacent to the centre hole on each label, again supporting the view that this record has been only sparingly played. Excellent plus (EX+) condition front side only laminated original UK MacNeill Press outer sleeve with all of the colours, art work, photos and text remaining beautifully intact. Each edge remains firm with no scuffing at all, each corner remains a perfectly defined right angle with no rubbing, the spine is rigid with all spine text perfectly intact. The only blemishes (very minor) are just a few 1-2cm very light surface laminate creases on the front side, adjacent and perpendicular to the spine, and just the hint of some very mild age discolouration towards the edges on the reverse side - each very trivial. The STEREO sound quality is near mint (NM), terrific in fact with no skips, repeats, jumps, sticks, clicks, interference, or distortion. There is just the merest hint of some extremely light, background crackle towards the beginning of side 2 but to all intents and purposes this is negligible. Great tone with crystal clear audio quality throughout. Comes with original and near perfect condition poly-lined Decca/Deram blue and white inner sleeve with no seam splits, barely any creasing, no edge fraying and no age discolouration.
What an impressive jazz-rock fusion LP this is with the legendary Alan Holdsworth at his most creative - probably not many better condition copies of this 1970 UK 1st press gem than this!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
